Aim and research questions

This research projects focuses on three interrelated areas: the needs of patients facing a situation of oncological diseases; the barriers they perceive as hindering the process of care; and their level of literacy. We intend to know ‘what are the pillars on which we should to build a program of Patient Navigation to adequately satisfying the needs of patients with stomach cancer?’.

As goals to:

Identify the needs of people with stomach cancer;
Identify the barriers to care for people with stomach cancer;
Identify the level of literacy of people with stomach cancer;
Identify the relationship between the needs, the barriers and the level of literacy of people with stomach cancer;
Identify the relationship between personal attribute variables, the needs, the barriers and the level of literacy of people with stomach cancer.
